Boudewijn “Bous” Scholts has been working in tourism on Bonaire since 1995. The first 15 years as a sales manager of one of the largest resorts on the island, then as an independent consultant for various accommodations. Not only is the network of tour operators, travel agents, diving schools and journalists worldwide that he built up impressive, Bous knows most of the “players” on the island, the hoteliers, the taxi drivers, the excursion organizations, the guides who speak various languages, the restaurants, the local government and politicians. Interestingly, most people on the Bonaire tourism spectrum know Bous as a former chairman and board member of BONHATA, the Bonaire Hotel & Tourism Association.
Bous is a passionated hobby chef, plays golf and loves to travel himself.
